Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in the Heart of Tbilisi
Upon your arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, our team will transfer you to your hotel. After you settle in, join us at 18:00 for a pre-tour briefing followed by a warm welcome dinner. Enjoy your first night in the vibrant capital of Georgia.
Day 2: Exploring Old Tbilisi and Local Flavors
Start your journey with a comprehensive city tour. You will visit the Trinity Cathedral, the State Museum of Georgia, and the historic Narikala Fortress. Additionally, we will explore the Sulphur Baths and Sioni Cathedral. The day includes a traditional lunch and an introductory wine tasting to start your palate’s journey.
Day 3: Sighnaghi – The City of Love and Alazani Views
We drive to Sighnaghi, a stunning 18th-century town overlooking the Alazani Valley. Furthermore, we will visit the Bodbe Monastery before heading to Kvareli. Enjoy a dinner featuring traditional Kakhetian dishes and local wines near the foothills of the Caucasus.
Day 4: Royal Castles and Ancient Academies
Our path leads to the Gremi Fortress, the former capital of the Kakhetian Kingdom. Consequently, we visit the Alaverdi Cathedral, where monks still produce world-famous monastic wines. We will also explore the Ikalto Academy and Shuamta Monastery. The day concludes with a national-style dinner in Telavi.
Day 5: Tsinandali Estate and David Gareja Caves
Experience the elegance of the Tsinandali Estate, a 19th-century palace where European and Georgian winemaking traditions merged. Afterward, we travel to the David Gareja cave complex, a rock-hewn monastery on the desert slopes. On the way, we stop at a private cellar in Tokhliauri for an authentic meal.
Day 6: UNESCO Sites and Travel to Western Georgia
We visit the Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then, we travel west to Kutaisi, stopping at the Ubisa Monastery to admire its 14th-century murals.
Day 7: Racha – The Highland of Rare Grapes
Discover Racha, home to the unique Alexandrouli and Mujuretuli grapes. We visit Ambrolauri and Nikortsminda to taste the genuine Khvanchkhara wine. Moreover, you will enjoy the distinct mountain cuisine of Western Georgia.
Day 8: Myths of the Golden Fleece and Dinosaurs
Explore Kutaisi, the ancient capital of Colchis. We visit the Gelati Monastery (UNESCO) and the Bagrati Cathedral. Additionally, we will see dinosaur footprints at the Sataplia Grotto before returning to Tbilisi for the evening.
Day 9: Leisure and Farewell
Enjoy a free day in Tbilisi for shopping or independent exploration. In the evening, we gather for a grand farewell dinner to celebrate our journey through the “Cradle of Wine.”
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, we provide a comfortable transfer to the airport for your departure.
