PLACES TO VISIT:
- Archaeological site of Dmanisi - On the territory of Dmanisi, during the period of the Upper and Lower Pliocene, the extinct ostrich species - Struthio dmanisensis - was inhabited.
- Bolnisis Sioni - The cathedral was built in 478–493. It is the oldest extant church building in Georgia.
- Tsughrughasheni Church - The church was built in 1212-1222, presumably by King George IV Lasha, of the Bagrationi dynasty.
